DACC Chinese Competence Diagnostic Certification
The Diagnostic Assessment of Chinese Competence is part of a new generation of computerized adaptive tests that combine AI and big data. AI dynamically adjusts and selects the question type according to the initial grade of the test taker and the answering situation of each question.
It also analyzes the reading abilities of the test takers according to following five dimensions based on the cognitive development theory: word recognition, superficial textual understanding, textual integration, inferential understanding, as well as analysis and evaluation.
After the test, the computer uses big data to compare the test taker’s score to the typical scores of the same grade. This analysis shows which grade the reading ability of the test taker actually falls on, and teachers can conduct differentiated teaching based on this.
